‘Bench Press Therapy’

Monday Evenings
18:00 – 20:30

We offer free access to our gym for adults 18-35 years on Monday evenings, who would like to release stress, get some endorphins through exercise and chat to others who may be struggling with low self esteem or poor mental health.

Core Judo in the community

We want to be much more than just a judo club by helping those in our local community. We have partnered with Belron, who very kindly feed our Friday class judoka ‘scholars’ with healthy meals for them and their families. Freshly cooked meals are prepared by Belron’s head chef and distributed after class.

Local Community Support

We have received fantastic support from local people including the Mayor Elaine Gill and all the local councillors. Local businesses have helped, with Egor Shestakov, a judo parent and supporting founder, who donated the equipment for the changing rooms & toilets. His company is one of the clubs principle sponsors, helping players on the scholarship scheme with competition kits and facilitating travel to Latvia for competition’s and cultural exchange.

Core Judo ‘

Scholars’

We have an active scholarship programme where we offer free judo tuition to those children who are in need of some support and for those children who are displaying excellent behaviours and exhibit many of the values inherent in the Judo moral code. We have over 40 ‘scholars’ at our club and are always looking to increase this. Please get in touch if you would like to learn judo but do not have the means.
